Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Report May 2017

5/4/2017

We have now gotten into our spring time bite on Mosquito Lagoon and fishing has been great! The water in the lagoon is as clear as we've seen in quite some time, and redfish, trout, and black drum have been on fire! The smaller schools of baitfish have been showing up, and fish have been crushing topwater plugs, soft plastics, and well presented flies throughout the morning bite! Tailing redfish are being caught on soft plastic baits and flies, and big seatrout are eating plugs as well as plastics. Fly fisherman have had great success on calm mornings throwing at tailing fish and also cruising fish later in the day. Book your trip today as the fishing heats up! (407)733-3223
