Mosquito Lagoon Fishing Report July 2008
Redfishing on the Mosquito Lagoon is great right now! The fishing for big reds will continue to be awesome throughout the summer and into the early fall. We are catching double digits of reds every trip, with some fish over 30 lbs! Andrew and Kyle Lamb from Lakeland had the best trip in June, catching 28 redfish on a 6 hour trip. The smaller reds are eating a variety of artificials, and the bull reds are eating live and cut baits. Book early to get your trophy reds!

Mosquito Lagoon Report January 2008
Happy New Year Everyone. With the cooler water temps the redfish and trout have been on the flats late into the afternoon. Redfish and trout are sunning themselves in sand holes up shallow making for some exciting sight fishing coditions. The big key this time of year isn't the cold weather, but the strong winds of cold front that keep you off the water. We have been pitching live shrimp and Rip Tide soft plastics with great success. February should be a great month too! Book early!

Fishing has been really good too. We have been targeting redfish and trout on the flats with good success. Fish are eating artificials and live shrimp throughout the day with cooling water temps. Book your trip early to get in on some exciting fishing!

Keeper size redfish are in big schools and feeding on the flats early in the morning. Guy Rizzo and his friend Gary from Orlando had a great morning catching close to 20 redfish in 3 hours on Rip Tide soft plastics. I hope to get a chance to put you on the awesome bite we are having!
