Summer is here and the bite has been Red Hot for redfish and speckled trout! The fish have been feeding in the shallows of Mosquito Lagoon on mullet, shrimp, and pretty much anything they can find for the first 4 to 5 hours of the morning before it gets too hot. The key is to get an early start and look for the best fishing to be around the big schools of mullet and wherever you see wading birds along shorelines and sand bars. We have been catching fish on a variety of artificial baits and flies, as well as live shrimp and mullet. Sight fishing for tailing and waking reds has been really good on calm days making for some great sight casting in shallow water! Book your trip today!
