Water temps are cool but the fishing has been Red Hot! Redfish, trout, and black drum have been seeking deeper areas of the flats, and good numbers can be caught on a variety of bait and lures. It's hard to beat a live shrimp fished on a 1/8 oz. jig head, or even under a cork to catch all 3 species of fish. Redfish and trout can also be caught on spoons and soft plastics. They have been eating flies as well for all you fly fisherman! Book your trip today while the weather is great, and so is the fishing! (407)733-3223
The redfish, trout, and black drum fishing has been borderline excellent the last couple months! Redfish are on the flats chasing schools of mullet and we have been catching them on topwater, spoons, soft plastics, and fly. Fish up to 30 lbs. have been seen in large schools getting ready to spawn. The black drum fishing has been red hot as well, and we are catching them on crabs and shrimp. Trout can be targeted first thing in the morning on the flats using plugs and soft plastics. Book your trip today! (407)733-3223
Spring is finally here and that means the mullet are here too! Redfish and trout are feeding in and around the schools of bait and can be caught on a variety of lures, bait, and flies! Topwater plugs and swim baits have been working great, and cut mullet and pinfish are also a good choice for bait fisherman. Black drum are in big schools on the flats and can be caught on shrimp and small shrimp pattern flies. Book your trip today!!
Happy New Year!! 2018 has started off with a bang with redfish, trout, and black drum cruising the flats in search of shrimp, crabs, and other small crustaceans. A well placed lure, fly, or live shrimp is sure to draw a strike from these voracious eaters this time of year. The cooler water temps have made for great sight fishing later in the morning when the sun is high and the fish are on the flats during the warmth of the day. Come and get in on some great action!! The late summer bite is on, and has been great!! We've been catching plenty of redfish, trout, and some black drum while working the huge schools of mullet. The redfish and trout have been eating mostly live bait, but we have also been catching some quality fish on artificial baits like Slayer Inc. swim baits and gold spoons. I've had multiple charters catching 20 fish and have been averaging 10 redfish in a half day. Book your trip today! (407)733-3223
Happy 4th of July to everyone!! Fishing has been on fire for reds and trout on the lagoon! We have been catching plenty of slot size reds and some really big Bull Reds too! The best fishing has been early and the bite has been red hot for the first 4 hours or so before it gets too hot. We've been fishing bait pods with live bait and artificials with great success! Most trips have had 10 fish mornings but a couple days we caught over 20 redfish in a half day trip! Book your trip today! (407)733-3223
We have now gotten into our spring time bite on Mosquito Lagoon and fishing has been great! The water in the lagoon is as clear as we've seen in quite some time, and redfish, trout, and black drum have been on fire! The smaller schools of baitfish have been showing up, and fish have been crushing topwater plugs, soft plastics, and well presented flies throughout the morning bite! Tailing redfish are being caught on soft plastic baits and flies, and big seatrout are eating plugs as well as plastics. Fly fisherman have had great success on calm mornings throwing at tailing fish and also cruising fish later in the day. Book your trip today as the fishing heats up! (407)733-3223
Fishing has been on fire for redfish, black drum and big trout lately! Redfish have been in large schools during the low water in the lagoon, making for easy targets on fly and artificilal baits! Soft plastics like the Slayer Lures SST XL swim baits have been top lures for redfish and big speckeled trout! Black drum will be looking for shrimp pattern flies or live shrimp.
