Having grown up in Stuart, FL., (The Sailfish Capitol of the World), it seems only fitting that Capt. Jon would end up guiding on the Mosquito Lagoon, (The Redfish Capitol of the World).  Fishing has been a passion of Capt. Jon's for over 25 years. His love for the sport, as well as his respect for the estuary he fishes, grows each day spent on the water.  "Clients ask me how I can still get 'the shakes' while poling up to a school of tailing redfish," " I love what I do, and take pride in being good at it."

Capt. Jon's passion for fishing has taken him many different places in search of angling opportunities. Fishing the Louisiana coast for redfish and speckled trout, Sebastian Inlet for snook, the Florida Keys for bonefish and permit, and Boca Grande pass for giant tarpon are some of the destinations he has gained valuable fishing experience.

Capt. Jon has been featured numerous times in the Orlando Sentinel for his guiding achievements and has had the opportunity to do fishing shows such as Mark Sosin's Saltwater Journal shown on ESPN. He is US Coast Guard Licensed and insured and endorsed by some of the leading companies in the industry. Hells Bay Boatworks, Crowder Rods, Redington Fly Rods, Abu Garcia, Berkley, Rip Tide saltwater baits, Owner Hooks, and Ocean Waves Sunglasses all endorse Capt. Jon with their products to help make your trip a success.

Capt. Jon Lulay guides out of a Hells Bay Guide 18 Professional flats skiff. This skiff is like no other skiff on the market. It offers anglers the room and comfort they expect, and also will pole in less than 6 inches of water, giving anglers access to areas too shallow for other skiffs. There is absolutely no "hull slap" in any condition. You will get closer to your catch without making any noise, putting you in position to cast at more fish, therefore catching more fish! There is plenty of dry storage on board and a built in cooler for drinks and food items. This is the ultimate skiff for your fishing adventure.
